Fishing from the boat adds comfort and convenience to fly fishing! Multi-day, full-, and 3/4-day guided float trips provide the opportunity to target fish that aren’t accessible from the bank while enjoying scenic views from the river. The majesty of the Colorado River’s red rock canyons, stunning views of Mt. Sopris and the Roaring Fork Valley, and the high desert cliffs and ancient black walls along the Gunnison River and through the Gunnison Gorge are all jaw-dropping backdrops, and with abundant wildlife, birds, and (most importantly) fish, you’re sure to have the trip of a lifetime.
At a minimum, gourmet homemade shore lunch is provided, along with snacks and non-alcoholic beverages — happy to provide those if you let me know what you like! I spent 25 years in the aquatic safety industry training thousands of lifeguards and instructors so you can rest assured safety is a top priority in my boat!
Float Trips are offered through Western Anglers Guide Service, Colorado West Slope Fly Fishing, and Black Canyon Anglers.
